Far away from his magical library, everyone's favorite game maker, Luigi Lemoncello, is building something new。 Something SECRET。 And he's about to let the world see it。 He'll reveal that hidden deep within the Lemoncello-tastic new building is a single ticket。 A titanium ticket。 Four lucky boys and girls are about to win the chance to go inside the building on a spectacular scavenger hunt that will take them through bigger-than-life live-action games--towering, skyscraper-size Jenga; dizzying real-life Chutes and Ladders; death-defying games of Rush Hour; plus ball pit moats and more! Each game will get the players closer to the titanium ticket。 But the real secret? Mr。 Lemoncello is thinking about his legacy, and whichever player finds the ticket will be the first to win a spot in an elite group of kids who will compete in the next books to win Mr。 Lemoncello's ENTIRE EMPIRE! * A worthy successor to 。 。 。 Willy Wonka。 --Booklist, starred review of Escape from Mr。 Lemoncello's Library

Our ears were GLUED to the story! My son loved the riddles and puzzles。 A hard copy would have been fun to have, to see them - but then we’d miss out on the great narrator - I wouldn’t be able to do the characters justice reading it out loud。

As fun and cute as the rest of the series。 Loved the new characters and the narrator wasn't too bad! First audio of the year。 Hopefully will help pull me out of the reading slump。 As fun and cute as the rest of the series。 Loved the new characters and the narrator wasn't too bad! One of the best books in the series, I seriously can't wait for the next book。 It kind of reminds me of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory。 One of the best books in the series, I seriously can't wait for the next book。 It kind of reminds me of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory。 。。。more

Another fun installment of the Mr。 Lemoncello books from author Chris Grabenstein for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders。 I've been a fan of this series since its inception because I love solving the puzzles。 This one has its share of puzzles plus games of my childhood added in with a new twist。 The only thing that bothered me about the book is that it is a bit too reminiscent of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl。 Still, a fun read。 Looking forward to the next one。 Another fun installment of the Mr。 Lemoncello books from author Chris Grabenstein for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders。 I've been a fan of this series since its inception because I love solving the puzzles。 This one has its share of puzzles plus games of my childhood added in with a new twist。 The only thing that bothered me about the book is that it is a bit too reminiscent of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl。 Still, a fun read。 Looking forward to the next one。 。。。more

It's so much fun to be back with Mr。 Lemoncello, Kyle, Akimi, and some of the others from the previous 4 books。 I loved the addition of new characters Soroiya and Simon。 What's not to love? There's games, and puzzles, and riddles, and lots and lots of running and racing and climbing and sliding down things, and food, lots of food, especially the kind you have to crawl through or get a face full of。 Yeah, if I was a 12-year-old kid and I'd be all over this。 It's so much fun to be back with Mr。 Lemoncello, Kyle, Akimi, and some of the others from the previous 4 books。 I loved the addition of new characters Soroiya and Simon。 What's not to love? Another great installment in the Mr。 Lemoncello's Library series, this one focusing on games (instead of books), and introducing a great new cast of additional characters。 Think Willy Wonka and Ready, Player One! This is more of a new beginning for the Lemoncello series。 Most of the main characters are in the book, but they are sideline characters, not the main characters。 This really has a "Charlie and Chocolate Factory" vibe to it, so if you enjoyed that book/movie you will really enjoy this one as well。 With a few emotional moments, and a huge emphasis on board games, this was one of my favorite Lemoncello books。 This is more of a new beginning for the Lemoncello series。 Most of the main characters are in the book, but they are sideline characters, not the main characters。 This really has a "Charlie and Chocolate Factory" vibe to it, so if you enjoyed that book/movie you will really enjoy this one as well。 With a few emotional moments, and a huge emphasis on board games, this was one of my favorite Lemoncello books。 。。。more

5 starsThe lemony fun continues in the fifth book of this fun series! Mr。 Lemoncello's adding a new building to his game factory complex in Hudson Hills, New York。 What is it for? Full of fun puzzles and fairly stereotypical characters。 The enjoyment from these books comes in winning the game and having the underdog do it。

The main factory for Lemoncello games is in Simon's small NY town, but his grandfather so loathes Luigi Lemoncello that Simon has never been allowed to play any kind of board game, let alone participate in any of the activities around the factory。 What's going on now is that Mr。 Lemoncello has built a new building on the factory property, and it's top-secret--but Simon manages to correctly answer all the riddles at all the digital checkpoints, and almost makes it in。 That earns him an invitation The main factory for Lemoncello games is in Simon's small NY town, but his grandfather so loathes Luigi Lemoncello that Simon has never been allowed to play any kind of board game, let alone participate in any of the activities around the factory。 What's going on now is that Mr。 Lemoncello has built a new building on the factory property, and it's top-secret--but Simon manages to correctly answer all the riddles at all the digital checkpoints, and almost makes it in。 That earns him an invitation to the town's annual company picnic, full of games and the chance to win the opportunity to be one of the first to see what's in the new building--and then to win even more。 Of course there's a nasty security guard and his equally nasty son determined to win the grand prize at whatever cost, including cheating。 But Simon is determined to at least try--even if his grandfather finds out where he is and tries to stop him。These books are light and enjoyable, but have grown pretty formulaic。 The villains are one-note and interchangeable, and I frankly skipped through most scenes with them because I could predict exactly what they would say and do, and I much preferred reading about the zany, full-sized games the author invented。 Simon and his friend Soraya were sympathetic characters, and kids who have loved the other books in the series will be very happy with this one。 。。。more

YEAH!!! BOOK 5!!!! So glad that Grabenstein wrote another book in this fun, hysterical series!! I was really sad to see it end with book 4 and I hope that it continues from here as well!! In this book, we meet some new characters。 The Ohio classics do come back to help the adventure but it was nice to meet some new faces。 We still have the villain and the underdog but it isn't necessarily super predictable so it is still so much fun to read。 In this book, we are in Hudson Hills where Mr。 Lemonce YEAH!!!
